{"id":50,"date":"2017-10-24T14:01:00","date_gmt":"2017-10-24T12:01:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/imb.donau-uni.ac.at\/ats2020patterns\/?p=50"},"modified":"2017-11-27T12:47:01","modified_gmt":"2017-11-27T11:47:01","slug":"student-online-portfolios","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/imb.donau-uni.ac.at\/ats2020patterns\/?p=50","title":{"rendered":"Student Online Portfolios"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Pattern Name<\/h2>\n<p>STUDENT ONLINE PORTFOLIOS (Eckstein, Bergin, Sharp, &amp; Manns, 2002a, p. 11) &#8211; better known also as &#8220;ePortfolio&#8221;.<\/p>\n<h2>Pattern Language<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pedagogicalpatterns.org\/current\/feedback.pdf\">Feedback Patterns<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Category<\/h2>\n<p>This pattern is applicable for all phases of the <a href=\"http:\/\/imb.donau-uni.ac.at\/ats2020patterns\/the-ats2020-pattern-collection-for-formative-assessment\/\">ATS2020 learning model<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Active Role<\/h2>\n<p>This pattern was originally written for teachers to help students, but it could also be used by students directly if the pattern was adapted accordingly.<\/p>\n<h2>Summary<\/h2>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/imb.donau-uni.ac.at\/ats2020patterns\/2017\/10\/18\/invisible-teacher\/\">INVISIBLE TEACHER<\/a> wants to give students the possibility to receive feedback to their artefacts\/performance from a wider audience (peers, relatives, etc). Therefore, the teacher provides the means for students to publish their work in an ePortfolio (Eckstein, Bergin, Sharp, &amp; Manns, 2002a, p. 11). This pattern is based on <a href=\"http:\/\/imb.donau-uni.ac.at\/ats2020patterns\/2017\/10\/18\/active-student\/\">ACTIVE STUDENT<\/a>s, who are acting in a <a href=\"http:\/\/imb.donau-uni.ac.at\/ats2020patterns\/2017\/10\/18\/trusted-space\/\">TRUSTED SPACE<\/a>, where teachers <a href=\"http:\/\/imb.donau-uni.ac.at\/ats2020patterns\/2017\/10\/24\/look-but-do-not-touch\/\">LOOK, BUT DO NOT TOUCH<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Example for Technological Support<\/h2>\n<p>There are many online platforms for student ePortfolios. In ATS2020, the ePortfolio-platform\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/mahara.org\/\">Mahara<\/a>\u00a0as well as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.onenote.com\/classnotebook\">One-Note Class Notebook<\/a>\u00a0are\/were used in class.<\/p>\n<h2>Literature<\/h2>\n<p>Eckstein, J., Bergin, J., Sharp, H., &amp; Manns, M.
