Pattern Name
LEARNING CONTRACT (Larson et al., 2008, p. 5)
Pattern Language
Continuous Feedback Pedagogical Patterns
Category
Defining Learning Outcomes, developing learning strategies
Active Role
T*/S
Summary
Through agreeing on a learning contract between students and teachers, clear goals and learning strategies are set and students take responsibility for their own learning (Larson et al., 2008, p. 5).
Example for Technological Support
The learning contract could be added to the student’s ePortfolio so it is can be linked to learning artefacts. This could happen either in an ePortfolio-Platform like Mahara (Mahara, n.d.) or also in One-Note Class Notebook (Microsoft, 2017)
