Summary
The teacher wants to give feedback to students in a way, that misunderstandings are corrected but still the students’ confidence is not undermined. Therefore, the teacher gives feedback in a way that he/she starts and ends with a positive comment and places a suggestion for improvement in between (Eckstein, Bergin, Sharp, & Manns, 2002a, p. 4).
Example for Technological Support
This feedback strategy is not only suitable for teachers but also for peer feedback. It could be provided in an online FAQ section by the teacher to help students in giving feedback to each other’s artefacts. Furthermore, assessment rubrics can be offered as templates for the students.
